High School Equivalency Preparation
The American Council on Education has designated Nash Community College as an official testing center for the High School Equivalency tests. High School Equivalency tests are administered twice weekly by appointment and require a $20.00 testing fee.
. All students are required to attend a registration session prior to taking High School Equivalency tests.
Adults 16 years of age or older may enroll in the High School Equivalency Program. Students under 18 years of age are required to submit a completed Minor Enrollment Packet. Packets are available in the Learning Center. Students receive instruction in the areas of reading, mathematics, writing, science and social studies.
Students are required to score a total of 2250 points on the five High School Equivalency test areas with no individual score less than 410 points.
Orientation for on-campus classes is held on a monthly basis . Please call 252-451-8246 or 252-451-8305 for more information. Orientation is offered from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm and from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
