The Child Development Center hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

About the Center

The goals of the Child Development Center are to provide quality early education for children six weeks to five years of age and to serve as a model training program for Nash Community College students and the community. Parents are recognized and valued as active members of the Center's team.

Teacher to Child Ratios

Infants: 1:5
Young Toddlers: 1:6
Toddler: 1:9
Young Preschool: 1:10
Older Preschool: 1:12

Teacher Assistants and student interns will provide additional adult to child interaction. The classrooms are staffed with teachers who hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field. Teacher assistants must hold the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential. Our Staff attends conferences, workshops, and training for continued staff development. Advanced degrees are encouraged and supported among our staff. In addition, students from Early Childhood Education and Nursing Programs at Nash Community College also intern at the center.

Tuition Rates

The Nash Community College Child Development Center provides the highest quality education for young children. We do this while keeping the cost of education as affordable as possible.

The tuition fees pay only the direct educational costs of the center. The facilities costs, including maintenance and utilities are paid by the college. There is a $50 registration fee. Listed below are the current tuition:

CDC Student Applications

Child Development Center applications submitted by NCC students will remain on file for one year from the date of application. If a space does not become available within the calendar year, the student can resubmit an application to remain on the list beyond that year. Re-submission of that application will be of the responsibility of that student.
