Cosmetology - D55140

The Cosmetology program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge of scientific and artistic principles, as well as hands-on fundamentals. The curriculum provides a simulated salon environment enabling you to develop hands-on  skills. Course work includes instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multi-cultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics.

Qualified graduates will be able to take the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. Upon passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a cosmetology license. Licensed graduates can then pursue a career in beauty salons or as skin/nail specialists, platform artists, or other related businesses.

The program and facility are designed to equip students with the most current training for lucrative employment and/or entrepreneurship in the cosmetic art industry. We don’t just train you for  a job, we help you start a career.

Our Faculty

Our faculty are NC State Board double certified, with Cosmetology Instructor Certification and Cosmetologist License. They continue to attend educational programs which exceed the state mandated requirements. They stay up-to-date by using current technology, product knowledge, and superior instructor training. Also, they have the combined experience of over 60 years of education and practice.

Our Facilities

Our facility accommodates approximately 120 students. 30 stations are used to train students in the advanced department to serve clientele. We are equipped to train you to perform a wide variety of hair, skin and nail services. Three classrooms are set aside to facilitate beginning students. We use technology in the classroom to meet educational needs for computer usage in the beauty industry.
