The Phlebotomy curriculum prepares individuals to obtain blood and other specimens for the purposeof laboratory analysis.

Course work includes proper specimen collection and handling, communication skills, and maintaining patient data.

Graduates may qualify for employment in hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, and other healthcare settings and are eligible to take the national certification examination for phlebotomy technicians.

In my late 30s after raising our children, I returned to school. When I first enrolled, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do other than get my degree. It wasn't easy! Fortunately, the classes at NCC were small and personal and many teachers inspired and encouraged me. Now look at me; I am an English teacher! I love my job and I know I made the right decision.
