Alcoholic Beverages, Controlled and Other Illegal Substances Print E-mail

The unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, sale, possession, or use of drugs, controlled and/or illegal substances or the possession or use of alcoholic beverages, is prohibited on College premises and workplaces except at specifically authorized events and campus facilities. The College recognizes its obligation to all employees, students, and the public at large and is committed to provide and maintain a safe working environment which is free of alcohol and illegal drugs and/or controlled substances. The policy is in accord with the requirements of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. The unlawful use or possession of alcoholic beverages, hallucinatory drugs, other controlled and/or illegal substances is not permitted on campus or at any worksite and/or class site. Violation of this policy may subject the student or employee to disciplinary measures or dismissal.

Returning to the community college system many years after graduating from high school provided me countless opportunities I never dreamed possible. In each course, I was surrounded by people just like me, trying to make a difference in their lives through education. Nash Community College provides a gateway to endless possibilities.
