(Rocky Mount, NC) Jim K. Sabiston of Rocky Mount was appointed by Governor Beverly Perdue to serve a four year term as a Nash Community College Trustee.

Jim Sabiston is a successful executive with over 35 years experience in the foodservice industry. He is the Executive Vice President of MBM Corporation in Rocky Mount, one of the Nation’s largest privately held companies. He also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Great American Equity Corporation, headquartered in Rocky Mount.
 
Displaying a wide range of interests, Sabiston is deeply involved in many charitable and community organizations. He has served as President of Big Brothers Big Sisters and Communities in Schools and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Duke Children’s Hospital and Providence Bank. Sabiston has served on the Nash Community College Foundation Board since 2007 and is the Foundation Board’s President. Sabiston also supports Duke University Athletics, especially the Women’s Basketball Program.

He and his wife, Susan, reside in Rocky Mount and attend Englewood Baptist Church. They have two daughters, Kristen and Christina.
