Nash Community College Emergency Medical Technicians Graduate Print E-mail

(Rocky Mount, NC) Nash Community College is pleased to announce its January 2012 Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) graduates. The Nash Community College Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class includes 179 hours of classroom and lab instruction and 24 hours of field training. The EMS-Intermediate class is a 322 hour course. The 1,099-hour Paramedic course includes advanced classroom and clinical instruction and a field internship.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for emergency medical technicians and paramedics is expected to increase between now and 2018 as a result of higher call volume due to an aging population, an increase in time required for each patient and an increase in specializing hospitals resulting in more patient transport. For more information on Nash Community College's EMT courses, contact Robbie Amerson at 252-451-8355 or
