On October 17 in the Brown Auditorium, the Nash Community College Health Sciences Department will host two information sessions on health sciences programs and requirements. Sessions will be offered at 1:00pm and 6:00pm. The sessions will offer great information for parents, students and those who assist in advising students.
Each session will include the following:
General Information
eligibility and requirements for program applications
competitiveness of the programs
criminal background checks
drug screenings
physical examinations/immunizations
CPR certification
other common requirements between the programs
Breakout Sessions
Breakout sessions will be held in smaller groups by disciplines to discuss the specifics of each program including more specific detail.
admissions processes/ranking
clinical education/travel expectations
retention rates
time management
other priorities to successfully make it through the programs
