Nash Community College Drama Club presents a special summer exclusive production.In the spirit of Vaudeville with an improvisational flair, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) is one of the most unique shows to ever hit the stage. In this one hilarious performance, three extraordinary actors present ALL of Shakespeare's plays. An exciting comedy including a football game, a wonderful rap and more are just a few of the many delightfully singular situations you will encounter as you enjoy and become a part of this exceptional production. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm June 7 & 8 and June 21 & 22. All shows start at 7:00pm in the S&T building auditorium room 7104. Tickets are only $5 and will be sold at the door.

Public Lecture Series, Dr. Mary Wayne Watson (1:30PM - 2:30PM)

Dr. Mary Wayne Watson, Professor of Humanities at Nash Community College (NCC), will offer the first in a summer series of scholarly lectures at 1:30 p.m. on June 10, 2013. The public is invited to attend free of charge. Watson’s subject will be “Gerald White Johnson: North Carolina’s Pioneering Journalist and Noted Historian.” The presentation will be held as part of NCC History Professor Dr. Jay Peacock’s cultural studies class in Room 2101, Building B, on the NCC campus.

This seminar will help you understand the difference between cash basis and accrual basis of accounting and single versus double entry bookkeeping. We'll talk about calculating and recording payroll taxes and sales tax and you'll get hands-on experience in preparing financial statements, including cash flow, income and expense statements, and balance sheets.
