NCC Honors Retirees

Nash Community College recently honored two longtime employees for their retirement.

Lynette Finch retired from Nash Community College on March 31, 2012 with 42 years of service. During her tenure, she held positions as Librarian, Director of Learning Resources, Associate Dean of Learning Resources and most recently, Dean of Learning Resources. Finch earned Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from East Carolina University, Masters of Arts degrees from North Carolina Central University and North Carolina State University and studied at Oxford University in England. She received Nash Community College’s National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) award in 2000.

Claudia Bowden retired on April 30, 2012 with 36 years of service having served as Administrative Secretary, Coordinator of Immured Groups and most recently, Extension Data/Community Service Coordinator. She received an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business Administration at Nash Community College and was awarded the NISOD Award in 2002.
