SAS Writing Reviewer

Revision means to look again. The SAS Writing Reviewer helps you see new opportunities for expressing yourself with greater precision and power. You begin by entering an essay into the Writing Reviser. An initial assessment helps you to see your work objectively so it can be revised with the reader in mind. SAS Writing Reviser is a free, self-help resource to assist with writing assignments. In regard to the content development of an essay, the program poses leading questions of the user requiring one to self-evaluate the essay. The program also provides assistance with grammar and mechanics by posing questions and providing additional information on proper use.

Smarthinking - Online Tutorial Services

Are you a student who needs a writing tutor and can’t physically come to campus? Smarthinking is a great way to connect with a LIVE tutor. Connect to the service by looking for the Smarthinking Icon in your Moodle courses; contact your instructors or the English Studio for help with this service.

Smarthinking provides several ways to find answers:

  1. “Drop-in Session” - LIVE tutoring sessions are available for “State your subject if offered”.
  2. “Schedule a Future Session - other times when tutors are available
  3. “Ask a Question” - submit a question anytime and get a response within 24 hours.
  4. Writing Center- review and feedback on written assignments is an interactive flashcard repository for students. By creating an account, you can create, find, share and save sets of flashcards by simply searching for the name of your book, class or subject. Students can form digital study groups and compete through sample quizzes and games.

Students may use their Gmail account to login.
