The Information Technology (IT) curriculum prepares graduates for employment in the technology sector as designers, testers, support technicians, system administrators, developers, or programmers who use computer software andor hardware to design, process, implement and manage information systems in specialties such as database services, security, business intelligence, healthcare informatics and others depending on the technical path selected within this curriculum. Course work in the Web Design and Administration concentration focuses on the terminology and use of computers, Internet-ready devices, servers, databases, programming languages, as well as Internet applications, site development and design. Emphasis is placed on providing individuals with the skills to utilize computers and mobile devices to disseminate and collect information via the Internet.
