    This course covers the basic hardware of a personal computer, including installation, operations and interactions with software. Topics include component identification, memory-system, peripheral installation and configuration, preventive maintenance, hardware diagnostics/repair, installation and optimization of system software, commercial programs, system configuration, and device-drivers. Upon completion, students should be able to select appropriate computer equipment and software, upgrade/maintain existing equipment and software, and troubleshoot/repair non-functioning personal computers.

It will emphasize the Alcoholic Beverage Control requirements, ""Dram Shop"" liabilities, employment opportunities, home entertainment, the use of wines, glassware and drink recipes. Students completing this course should be able to identify a minimum of 35 recipes, using proper amounts, mixes, glassware and garnishes. All tools and equipment of the trade will be used. Topics include a basic study of the body systems as well as an introduction to homeostasis, cells, tissues, nutrition, acid-base balance, and electrolytes. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of anatomy and physiology. This course must follow specific guidelines established by the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS), including those related to online delivery, curriculum content, instructor credentials, and student admissions requirements/prerequisites.
