Summer Bridge

The Summer Bridge program is a 15-day intensive summer course that provides participants with an opportunity to earn college credit for ACA 122 (College Transfer Success). The students will also participate in an English and math seminar course which will refresh their English and math skills that are necessary to succeed in college-level courses. Guest speakers will discuss with students the various programs and opportunities that Nash Community College offers. In the afternoons Monday-Thursday, students will explore various extracurricular opportunities on campus to enhance the student experience.

The registration fee to participate in the Summer Bridge Program is $100. This fee covers the college course, seminars, and guest speakers. There are scholarships available to those in need. Registration deadline is June 27th.

Orientation will be held July 10, 2018, from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Program Dates and Schedule: July 11 - July 31, 2018.

To qualify a student must be a recent high school graduate.

Please follow the steps below to enroll:

  • Complete online application and pay registration fee at cashier’s window in the NCC Business & Industry Center.
  • Apply to Nash Community College.
  • If the student meets multiple measures, their official high school transcript must be submitted and processed with the Nash admissions department.
  • If the student does not meet multiple measures, he/she must take the English and math placement tests before orientation on July 10, 2018.

Important Information

Supplies: 3-ring binder, notebook paper, pens/pencils, TI-84 calculator (if you have one), money for lunch or bring your own (we will provide lunch during the program and will let you know in advance of those dates).
