The Marketing Department has primary responsibility for copy and the production of the college’s marketing information and collateral materials. Responsibility for editing, design, final copy, and graphic layout rests with the Marketing Department, with consideration given to the copy and graphic ideas and concepts supplied by the requestor.

The Nash Community College Small Business Center (SBC) provides free, confidential counseling services for new and existing businesses. Available on an as-needed basis, our services provide a sounding board for ideas and challenges that clients may have in their business.

Small Business Center Development Series

The Small Business Center offers a variety of workshops and courses to help small businesses be successful. Check the event list on the right for dates and times of upcoming seminars and workshops. We also offer the Small Business Development Series which includes the following seminars:

  • How to Find Your Customers
  • Marketing Your Business
 
  • Basics of Bookkeeping
  • Your Small Business Taxes
  • Financing Your Small Business

These seminars are free and are offered to potential and existing entrepreneurs.

Chamber of Commerce Partnership

The Small Business Center co-sponsors programs and events with the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, such as Lunch N Learn seminars and more in-depth seminars that address topics of interest to area businesses. Small Business Center seminars are designed for current and prospective business owners, and are offered at low or no cost.

Complimentary Resource Center

The Small Business Center offers a resource center that is free and open to the public. The library of professional resources includes books, printed materials, videos, and a computer equipped with internet access.

Certification training is offered for small businesses to assist in meeting regulatory requirements including:

Located near the US 64 and interstate 95 interchange, the Nash Community College Business and Industry Center is an ideal conference facility for weddings, parties, civic events, conventions, trade shows and much more.

Brown Auditorium Conference Facility

  • Square footage: 12,250 square feet suited for conferences, dinner meetings, public ceremonies and additional large group functions
  • Seating capacity: 1,200
  • Reinforced concrete floor, with ramps to accommodate industry equipment and event equipment exhibits
  • Electrical capacity designed to house 100 booths
  • Main function area can be divided into five meeting rooms
  • Stage available for lease

Preconference Area

  • 2,800 square feet
  • Large outdoor verandas on the front and back of the building provide additional areas for preconferencing activities

Industrial/Catering Kitchen

  • Capability to serve catered meals
  • Will accommodate staging for plated or buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Loading and unloading dock for catering trucks provided

A Five-Star Licensed Center.
The goals of the Child Development Center are to provide quality early education for children six weeks to five years of age and to serve as a model training program for Nash Community College students and the community. Parents are recognized and valued as active members of the Center’s team. All Staff hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field or the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential. Our Staff attends conferences, workshops, and training for continued staff development. Advanced degrees are encouraged and supported among our staff. In addition, students from Early Childhood Education and Nursing Programs at Nash Community College also intern at the center. Teacher Assistants and student interns provide additional adult to child interaction.

Hours of Operation The Child Development Center hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Tuition Rates The Nash Community College Child Development Center provides high-quality education for young children. We do this while keeping the cost of education as affordable as possible. The tuition fees pay only the direct educational costs of the center. The facilities costs, including maintenance and utilities are paid by the college. There is a $50 registration fee.
