Nash Community College Reports Double-Digit Summer Enrollment Growth

Nash Community College is proud to announce a 24% increase in student enrollment for the Summer 2025 semester compared to Summer 2024, marking one of the most significant year-over-year gains in recent institutional history.

This growth is a result of the focused and collaborative work of the College’s Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Council and the Enrollment Management Core Work Group. These teams have played a critical role in implementing strategic, data-informed initiatives designed to enhance outreach, streamline processes, and improve the overall student experience.

“This enrollment surge is a clear testament to the great work of our Strategic Enrollment Management teams,” said Dr. Lew K. Hunnicutt, president of NCC. “Their efforts have helped us in removing barriers, improving systems and ultimately opening the doors wider to the communities we serve.”

In alignment with the College’s broader strategic vision, the SEM Council and Core Work Group have advanced initiatives centered on improving access, retention and success. Their collaborative, student-first approach continues to strengthen NCC’s position as a regional leader in higher education.

“This growth represents real progress in our mission to meet students where they are and help them reach their educational goals,” said Dr. Wendy Cook, vice president of student access and success at NCC. “We’ve been intentional in aligning our efforts with meeting the students where they are, and it’s rewarding to see that work turn into stronger enrollment results.”
