Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships provide a unique opportunity for students and local companies to develop the best talent to enter the workforce. Nash Community College can help students select the best fit when deciding on a career industry or path. Students can expect to learn through real-world, hands-on experience, while local organizations benefit from improving their productivity and profitability. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to try out a field of interest before launching their career.

Benefits of Attending

Many classes are taught by industry-experienced instructors.
Coursework includes manufacturing concepts, Working Smart, Math for Measurement, Lean Six Sigma – Yellow Belt, OSHA 10, and problem-solving.
Upon completion, students will have the basic knowledge to launch their careers in advanced manufacturing.

North Carolina Career Readiness Certificate (Level Bronze)
May be obtained at Nash Community College.

Industry plant tours are included.

COST $196.25 (pre-registration required; fee includes the OSHA 10 Card)

Ready to Register?

*Students should complete their Career Readiness Certificate and send their test scores to Nash Community College prior to registering.

Submit Registration forms on the 2nd floor of the William S. Carver Continuing Education and Public Services Building.

Nash Community College has developed pre-apprenticeship programs cultivated around an experience that prepare participants to enter and succeed in a Registered Apprenticeship program. Our Pre-Apprenticeship Programs showcase measurable projects and learning outcomes to benefit those interested in the Advanced Manufacturing, Line Worker or Automotive industries.
